Lillian Peng has worked as a graphic designer in California for over 15 years. She has excellent computer skills in leading graphic programs. Recently, she has been working at home as a freelancer. She now uses some of her free time to pursue her interest – painting.

Lillian enjoys visiting art museums and likes paintings in all different mediums. She especially loves the transparency of watercolor, especially how it conveys light to make the paintings more vivid. Dry and loose brush strokes make the paintings more artistic. Lillian tries hard to achieve these values in all her art work.

Lillian paints things around her, like flowers in her yard, fruit and vegetables in her kitchen, sunlight in her porch, and houses in her neighborhood. She photographs extensively when traveling to have subjects to paint when she returns home. Besides still life and landscape, her other focus in people.

Lillian has joined California Watercolor Association, attended workshops, and learned from other artists. Her paintings have been accepted by juried exhibitions and displayed by local galleries in the San Francisco Bay Area.
